Dark Horse's Star Wars Celebration Plans

Once a year, the Star Wars universe gets together to throw a massive party appropriately named Star Wars Celebration. Fans who sink sizable portions of their disposable income into Star Wars-related media and merchandise can gather together with like-minded people to talk about all aspects of Star Wars fandom and buy rarified, exclusive editions of merchandise. I don't mean to sound cynical, I just wish I were going. Anyone who has managed to convince decidedly anti-Star Wars spouses about the necessity of attending is welcome to advise me on how to proceed for next year's convention. I've got a year to start laying the groundwork, and I think it's safe to stop budgeting money for Ole Miss bowl games at this point so my travel budget is wide open.

But for those who are lucky enough to be at the LA Convention Center next week--Thursday, May 24 through Sunday, May 28--a Dark Horse booth will be among the many attractions delighting fans. If you are able to shoulder your way through the teeming crowds of stormtroopers and slave Leias, check out the booth for writer and artist signings. Among others, the KOTOR creative team of John Jackson Miller and Brian Ching and Legacy's John Ostrander and Jan Duuresma will appear. On Saturday, Star Wars editors Randy Stradley and Jeremy Barlow will host a panel along with some creators. Hopefully they will let some semi-juicy revelations slip. DH has the full schedule here.

If you're going, have fun. And I hate you. No, not really. Have fun. Get yourself something nice.
