Comic Fodder: Comic Books News and Reviews

Dark Horse pretty much takes the week off

As I write this, it's a balmy 103 degrees outside. Ah, the joys of late summer. The heat, the humidity, the bad mood of your spouse as she goes back to the teaching grind, the complete lack of anything to do. And now, even Dark Horse has forsaken us. Let's just say that if you're not a Rex Mundi fan, you're completely out of luck this week. We don't even get the consolation prize of a bizarre manga title named something like "Genocide Fiend." (Note: that's a real name.) Oh well, more money for Countdown and its tie-ins I guess right?

I would discuss the Legacy revelation, but I haven't read it yet. I live in a small town where a dedicated comic shop will remain an unimaginable luxury, so I use mail order and am still waiting. Not the best way to go about this in the internet age, but that's the only option the business model gives me short of spending vast sums on shipping. On to the show:

Rex Mundi #7

This issue begins a new story arc and involves a battle in Toulouse. Liverpool fans can get a look at the city as imagined in Arvid Nelson's alternate history before they play there tomorrow. Not sure if that really matters, but there it is.
