Fresh Fodder: New DVD Releases - 09/12/2006

Here we go again with another Star Wars Trilogy release, except this time Lucasfilm is getting closer to what we actually want - the original, unedited versions of the film sitting alongside restored copies. If you haven't been following our coverage on the releases, check out this article to see a side-by-side comparison of the restorations, and this one for the new menu look. Personally, we're going to wait for the ultimate 50-disc edition that you know Lucas will one day release.

On another note, we're hoping Lucky Number Slevin manages to satiate the little Snatch-style fetish we've been having lately. Critics took their pot-shots at it, but the fan reviews over at Rotten Tomatoes seem to follow our same tastes, and they average 83%. Guess we'll have to rent this sucker and see for ourselves.
