Grim Reaper to Come Calling on Pinhead

Clive Barker has always been known for keeping plenty of irons in the fire, but it really seems to be getting worse the older he gets. In his latest exclusive interview for the Revelations fan site, Mr. Barker explains the status of current and planned projects, including some long-awaited fiction.

Aficionados of his horror work have been waiting as patiently as a school of piranhas in a wading pool for his forthcoming book "The Scarlet Gospels," in which Pinhead--the character made famous in the "Hellraiser" movies but never before actually described on the page--is put to rest. Well, they'll have to go on waiting a bit longer (his coffee table art book "Visions of Heaven and Hell" is next up, with an October release date), but in the interview, Barker announces that he's on the final draft of the story and that it's "very bloody and very intense."

Add to this that the paintings he's been working on for the third book of his young adult "Abarat" quartet and the two-movies-per-year goal of his film production company, Seraphim, and it appears that retirement is no where in sight for Barker and company. Fearfodder is very pleased.--Pete Mesling
