Bruce Campbell's "Man with the Screaming Brain" Let Loose

It looks as if our favorite horror nut is at it again. You may know Bruce Campbell as the actor from such genre classics as the "Evil Dead" cycle and "Bubba Ho-Tep," or you may know him as the author of the tongue-in-cheek memoir "If Chins Could Kill" and his debut novel "Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way" (yes, he's the main character). Well, now it's time to get to know Bruce Campbell the director.

That's right, "Man with the Screaming Brain" is coming to DVD on Oct. 4, according to Fangoria. The film marks Campbell's first time directing a feature film, and of course he also stars.

Alongside Campbell in the picture are Stacy Keach and Sam Raimi's brother Ted, for those who are lured by such facts. And for Fangoria's in-depth look at why the special features of the DVD more than make up for the film's handful of shortcomings, you may feel free to click here. My advice is to expect laughs a plenty along with the scares in this one.--Pete Mesling
