Crispin Glover is a name that strikes fear in the hearts of men, whether he's doing a horror film or not. The man is just a little scary around the edges. All the more so when he is attached to a project of terror. To our good fortune, his name is currently attached not to one but two upcoming fright flicks.
Arrow in the Head was at the recent Rue Morgue Festival of Fear in Toronto and reports directly from the horse's mouth that Glover has been added to the cast of Robert Zemeckis's "Beowulf," in the role of Grendel, and that he will be playing a dual role in next year's "Simon Says."
Of the latter film, Glover says that its structure will be reminiscent of such film series as "Friday the 13th" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." It's good to see the Wizard of Weird returning to his roots. After all, who can forget his performance as Jimmy in the fourth installment of "Friday the 13th"? Well, I can't.--Pete Mesling
