Slipknot Tied to "Infected"

Horror and heavy metal have been uneasy bedfellows in the past, but once in a while the combination works. The question is, What will the histrionics of Slipknot bring to the upcoming video game "Infected"? Not much, is the answer Dread Central seems to offer. We'll see.

Slipknot and other bands will be contributing to the game's soundtrack, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, Slipknot is the only band whose members will actually appear in the game as characters. In fact, you'll only get to meet the characters based on Slipknot members by achieving certain objectives in the game. It's unclear at this time if they'll be playing damsels in distress.

Other artists attached to the project are Fear Factory, Chimaira [sic], Trivium, Ill Nino [sic] and The Agony Scene. Coincidentally, all six bands are signed to Roadrunner Records.--Pete Mesling
