Tarantino and Rodriguez: Together in the "Grindhouse"

BLOODY-DISGUSTING.COM has Good news for Quentin Tarantino's legion of fans: he will be lending a directorial hand to a horror film titled "Grindhouse." The Disgusting Ones also have good news for Robert Rodriguez's legion of fans: he will be doing the same. The twist is that the juggernauts of cinematic mayhem will not be commingling their talents as they have done in the past. Instead each will direct his own 60-minute segment for the film.

It's a refreshing move for both of them, methinks, and one that may point in the happy direction of Tarantino lensing his very own horror feature one day. We know he's got a good horror film in him. His sense of humor and unique take on violence beg to be channeled into a horror picture. The Weinstein Company plans to release "Grindhouse" on Sept. 22, 2006, so we'll need to be patient if we want to learn the results of the experiment. I don't see any reason to think it won't be worth the wait, however.--Pete Mesling
