Turnover in the Rue Morgue

The Horror Channel is reporting some good and bad news regarding the Canadian horror magazine Rue Morgue. On the bright side, the magazine is expected to continue to deliver high-quality articles about the horror genre. Unfortunately, it will be doing so without Rod Gudino filling the role of Editor-in-Chief. Though he will continue on as President and Publisher of the magazine, he is moving on to develop Rue Morgue Cinema. That's right, Mr. Gudino plans to write and direct his own films!

Apparently the move into film production is no knee-jerk endeavor for Gudino, who has seen it as an objective since the magazine's inception, according to comments he made in a press release quoted by The Horror Channel.

Issue #52 of Rue Morgue will hit stands on Dec. 1. Expect to see Gudino's final editorial in that issue, as well as a new name on the masthead: Jovanka Vuckovic will take over the role of Editor-in-Chief.--Pete Mesling
