Clive Barker's New Year's Revelations

In an ongoing effort to keep you aware of the biggest announcements from the Clive Barker camp, it's my pleasure to share some news from his Revelations site. They've posted the first part of an interview that Clive did for his German fan club, and in it he shells some juicy fodder indeed.

Anyone who's been keeping up with his career over the years knows that a film or television adaptation of his novel "Weaveworld" has been an off again, on again project for some time. Well, fear not; it's on the rails at last! Shooting begins next year in England. Other film projects to begin taking shape in 2006 are "The Midnight Meat Train" (based on Clive's short story of the same name), a TV version of "Coldheart Canyon" (from his novel) and, time permitting, "The Thief of Always" (based on his novel for kids). There are of course many other rumored adaptations of Clive's fiction in the wings--most enticingly "Dread," "Pig Blood Blues," "The Damnation Game" and the "Abarat" trilogy--but the titles mentioned above would appear to have the highest likelihood of coming to fruition anytime soon.--Pete Mesling
