Eli Roth to Direct Stephen King's "Cell"

"Hostel" director Eli Roth will be directing the film adapation of Stephen King's novel "Cell," according to Bloody-Disgusting. Apparently Roth is quite the King fan and will get busy turning the apocalyptic zombie tale into a movie just as soon as he wraps up production on ... yup, you guessed it: "Hostel 2."

I don't suppose Roth minds being where he is, but it's got to be rough trying to focus on injecting some kind of life into a sequel when you know that a wildly different project is waiting for you around the corner. He should have just handed the reins of "Hostel 2" over to someone else and jumped right into "Cell." He might have set some kind of record for the least amount of time between the publication and adaptation of a King novel. Hell, maybe he still will.--Pete Mesling
