Teaser for J.J. Abrams Film Causes a Stir

A teaser trailer for an upcoming J.J. Abrams film is causing quite an online fervor. The trailer for the untitled project is playing in theaters before "The Transformers." With no title and no actual footage of the film's "menace," theater goers are all a flutter with speculation.

Not many details of the film are known yet, but the "fake working title" appears to have been "Cloverfield," while the "internal working title" may be "The Parasite."

All that is known so far is that the trailer depicts some sort of giant "monster" (not shown) attacking NYC and that the footage is largely shot with handheld cameras.

Whatever the film may be, it's slated to open January 18, 2008.

Naturally, some "shots" of the trailer have been surfacing on YouTube. Many of them are being taken down by Paramount, so check the link below while you can. Personally, I don't think it makes sense for Paramount to shut these down - it's free hype for the flick.
