"The Darkness" is Now Available

darkness.jpgAt the ripe old age of 21, Jackie Escatado has achieved the impressive rank of mafia hitman. Maybe that's why The Darkness chose to empower him on the eve of his birthday. And his buddies probably just wanted to get him a keg...

Just released, 2K's "The Darkness" is based on Paul Jenkins' comic book franchise. It's rated M for mature -- and rightfully so.

Set in the seedy streets of New York City, players that assume the role of Jackie can devour, impale and implode enemies. In fact, heart eating is encouraged -- it gives you power beyond 20 bowls of Wheaties.

Voices include Kirk Acevedo ("Oz"), Lauren Ambrose ("Six Feet Under") and former Faith No More singer, Mike Patton.

"The Darkness" is currently available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. -- Rachel Cericola
