Minnie Driver to Voice Lara Croft

Angelina is out! Actress Minnie Driver ("The Riches") has been chosen to fill the combat boots of sexy video game heroine Lara Croft.

GameTap has launched "Re\Visioned," a free animated series that is exclusive to the online broadband channel.

The show will feature a slew of animated shorts with well-known artists and writers interpreting classic video game icons.

"Re\Visioned is a chance for us to show fans another side of their favorite gaming characters as seen through the eyes of today's top writers and artists," says Ricardo Sanchez, GameTap's vice president of content and creative director.

New episodes will premiere each week through August 23. The first installment is currently available on the GameTap Web site. -- Rachel Cericolas
