Naruto Rise of the Ninja Trailer

In light of its upcoming release, a new trailer for Naruto: Rise of the Ninja has hit the net. Check the trailer.

An Xbox 360 exclusive, this entry in the Naruto series boasts the best graphics. Pushing the game even further, this is also the first Naruto to combine both adventure modes and fighting modes. While the adventure mode is focused entirely around completing missions and making the members of Konoha village happy, it seems to be remedial action. Typical 'Collect This,' 'Deliver That' type stuff.

The fighting mode of the game is sure to be much like the fighting in the Nintendo Gamecube predecessors. Fast-paced, combo-filled madness. The series has always been friendly to button mashers, but those that know what they are doing almost always come out on top. This time, players aren't restricted to local play. One can make a trip to the 'Forrest of Death,' a giant ongoing tournament where people rank up based on results of each contest. At any given time anyone can jump into a battle at their level and either move up or down according to their performance.

Further breaking the monotony of Naruto fighters is the new special move system. If a player activates a special their character will fly into an attack cutscene. Rather than being forced to either watch as you get pummeled or do the pummeling, players engage in a fast mini-game. They will either race to press buttons or dodge their assailant's cross hairs as the cutscene nears its completion. The performance of each player decides the amount of damage dealt.

Sure to be a blast, don't miss out on Naruto: Rise of the Ninja.
