Is there a fashion cat-fight going on behind the scenes of Desperate Housewives? Fans of the hit show were surprised to see that four female stars dressed in nearly identical shades of lavender at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards, with the glaring exception of Teri Hatcher and Nicolette Sheridan. So was it planned? Careful watchers of E!’s red carpet coverage noticed an awkward moment when E! host Ryan Seacrest asked Marcia Cross if the purple parade had been planned, “No,” she said point blank, "it wasn't." Next up was her co-star Felicity Huffman, who, when Ryan joked about the coordinating outfits, matter-of-factly announced, “yep, we called each other, it was planned.” Eva Longoria and Brenda Strong also sported the matching colour leaving Teri Hatcher out in the cold in her clashing mauve dress.
Were they making a point? And what about Nicolette who was in bright green? According to my insider, “Nicolette always does her own thing so it is no surprise. But with Teri, it was a clear statement that when the cameras aren’t rolling, these women have formed two groups, Marcia, Eva and Felicity vs. Teri. And it’s getting harder and harder to hide.”
