Simon Cowell Takes Aim at Simpson Sisters

American Idol judge Simon Cowell has taken aim at one of America's most famous sister acts.

While the acid-tongued critic was the fill-in co-host for Regis Philbin opposite Kelly Ripa on ABC's Live with Regis, he began talking about a lost whippet when he held up a photo of Jessica Simpson.

"It looks a little bit like that, but with a collar," Cowell said. Kelly pasted a shocked grin on her face. "Joke, joke, Jessica," before Cowell backtracked. "Jessica, you do not look like a whippet. At all. But your sister! ..."

At which point Ripa advised, "You need to resuscitate your image."

Don't change Simon - we love you just the way you are!

The Simpsons can stand to take a little ribbing. Simon did not insult the singing of either sister though he surely might have. Selling records is their business. He did not hit them in the pocketbook.
