Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards underwent surgery in New Zealand on Monday after suffering a minor concussion two weeks ago while on holiday, reports People Magazine.
The surgery was undertaken to relieve headaches the rocker had been suffering since his fall, according to his publicists.
Richards' publicists said that the operation "was a complete success" and that Keith is "already up and talking with his family."
Because he will need a few weeks to recuperate, the European leg of the Stones' "A Bigger Bang" tour will be delayed until June; full details on rescheduled dates will be released shortly.
News outlets had been reporting that the hardy rocker, who also reportedly inspired Johnny Depp's 'Pirates of the Caribbean' hero, was injured after falling out of a palm tree. The Rolling Stones have been playing Down Under as part of their world tour. Keith, 62, reportedly stayed on for some R&R at Fiji's exclusive Wakaya Club resort.
