NY's Film Forum Goes B-List Noir

Because the bloggers at Cinematical don't see enough movies, Ryan and Martha are making the time to attend New York Film Forum's latest mini-festival, dubbed B NOIR. Through June 15, various B-list noir films will screen, and while a few known names might sneak in, Film Forum seems to have selected a variety of obscure titles. This is B-list, after all.

Among the seventy-five films screening are ones with intriguing titles like I Was a Communist for the FBI, Shield for Murder and The Crimson Kimono. If those don't find you seeing in black and white with a sudden urge to don a fedora, Cinematical is looking forward to still other gripping films. In particular, their article notes The Lineup, On Dangerous Ground and Phantom Lady as ones to see.

The complete schedule is here. If you're in New York and in the mood to travel back to a time where women were broads and men wore trench coats with everything, look it up.
