Google to Feature Sundance Titles

header-logo-small.gifAfter out-growing the confines of a handful of days in January, Sundance expanded into a television network. It's quickly become a popular channel, featuring festival films and original programming.

Just announced are plans to bring Sundance Channel programming to Google Video for rent or download.

Google Video launched in January, featuring a doc from Boondoggle Films, Aardvark'd: 12 Weeks With Geeks, and Ben Rehki's thriller Waterborne. From Sundance, the service will offer both movies and series episodes. Included are 2005's TransGeneration and the 2004 documentary The Staircase. Films can be rented for 24 hours at $2.99 a pop, or downloaded to own for $9.99. Series episodes are $1.99 each.

The Sundance Channel is just the next in a line of content available online. Google Video already offers programming from The Documentary Channel and CBS, in addition to movie trailers and sports coverage.
