Every now and then, indie filmmakers make one amazing film that catapults them into the world of studio films. Quentin Tarantino, anyone? Great filmmaker, but if I had to name a favorite who never lost his voice despite getting more money and better distributions deals, it'd be Kevin Smith.
With Clerks II making its mark in theaters this week, Smith's poised to innundate the movie-going public with his presence. He's been all over the radio, the incident with Joel Siegel's made news, and now, he's coming to the TV.
That's right, kids. Check your local listings, because Kevin Smith is standing in for the recovering Roger Ebert on an upcoming Ebert and Roeper. It's true, too. He posted it on his blog.
Smith and Roeper will review Ant Bully, Miami Vice, Talladega Nights and Barnyard. Not Clerks II. That might get awkward.
Good call. I switched it up to reflect that. Thanks for catching it! :)

Not true. He said he'd tape the show next week of Ebert & Roeper. Didn't say when it'd air. Can't air this weekend, if he doesn't tape it 'til next.
