Winning an Oscar does wonders for your career. At least, it's helping out Bobby Moresco, the scribe behind last year's Best Screenplay (not to mention Picture) Crash.
His next film, 10th & Wolf, was just picked up by ThinkFilm. They've grabbed the North American rights, after the movie premiered at the Palm Springs Film Festival in April. Moresco not only wrote this one, but directed it, too.
Starring a who's who of Hollywood bad boys, the cast includes Brad Renfro, Val Kilmer, Giovanni Ribisi, Tommy Lee, Dennis Hopper, Brian Dennehy and James Marsden. The only volatile ingredients they're missing are Russell Crowe and Colin Farrell. The ladies of the screen in this one include Piper Perabo and Lesley Ann Warren.
Marsden stars as a marine who returns home to Philadelphia only to find that he can't break the ties binding him to the mafia.
No word on a release date for 10th & Wolf, but it can't be that long in coming.
