Contrary to popular opinion, directors are more important than stars. Under the careful guidance of a director, sub-par actors can have Oscar-worthy performances and sub-par stories can be morphed into masterpieces. Because we're so fascinated by directors, we've decided to occasionally write profiles. What you'll find in each of these areas is a brief synopsis of the director's work, links to related sites, a director filmography, and recent news pertinent to that director.
