In recent years the promotional materials for upcoming big-budget releases have been more impressive than the films themselves ("Pearl Harbor" and "The Phantom Menace" are two obvious examples). Hopefully, the recently released teaser poster for next May's "Spider-Man" is a taste of what's to come instead of the culmination of the film's creativity.
That being said, the new poster is stunning; it's an instant collectible. Recognizing the desirability of this image, the staff of the official site has wisely provided two high-resolution downloads: 800x600 and 1024x768.
While the poster isn't technically for sale, a quick scan through eBay reveals that bids are approaching $80. If that's too steep your only recourse is to befriend someone who works at a movie theatre and hope they can procure a copy before co-workers and managers swoop in for the kill.
In related news, Spider-Man Hype confirms that the Spidey teaser trailer will unspool in front of "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" on July 11. Presumably, the trailer will be available for download shortly after its theatrical debut. If you can't wait, and you don't mind spoilers, a description of the trailer should tide you over.
