Variety reports that "Jackass" creator Johnny Knoxville will star opposite Selma Blair ("Legally Blonde") and Bridget Moynahan ("The Recruit") in the new Idiom Films comedy "Hating Her." The story follows Knoxville as he ventures home for the holidays with his rigid gal-pal (Moynahan) and her sister (Blair), who accompanies the couple to ease anticipated ill will from the family, but ends up igniting further problems. Thomas Bezucha ("Big Eden") wrote the script and will direct the $10 million project. Production is set to begin in April.
Knoxville is also the frontman in the upcoming black comedy "Grand Theft Parsons," with Christina Applegate. "Parsons" is set for release sometime this year. -- Ellen Langan
