The Young Hannibal Lecter Chronicles

The saturation of Hannibal Lecter seemed to reach its apex with last year's "Red Dragon," but Hollywood, it appears, isn't done sucking ol' Hanny dry. Reuters says a film following the young Hannibal Lecter is in the early stages of development.

"The Lecter Variation: The Story of Young Hannibal Lecter" (no joke) will trace Lecter's history from his childhood up through his early adult years. Reuters says producer Dino de Laurentis, who's overseen all of the Lecter films, is looking for actors to play the future carnivore at the ages of 12, 16, 20 and 25.

In describing the film, De Laurentis revealed a possible plot point. The young Lecter had a "very close relationship" with his sister. Eww. --Mac Slocum
