Live-Action "Transformers" Making the Rounds

That whole "More than meets the eye" thing is going a little too far. The Hollywood Reporter says a live-action pitch for "The Transformers" is being shopped around Hollywood, and studios are expressing interest. Producer Don Murphy ("The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen") and writer-producer Tom DeSanto ("X-Men 2") are behind the idea, so when Vin Diesel signs on as Optimus Prime, you'll have these two to blame.

"The Transformers" is in early development, so a screenwriter and director have yet to be hired.--Mac Slocum
