Superman Files New Flight Plan

Variety says the long-delayed "Superman" project is ramping up ... again.

The latest "Superman" roster includes McG (the three-lettered director behind the "Charlie's Angels" movies) and producers Neal Moritz and Gilbert Adler. Of course, none of these guys have actually signed a deal. Assuming they do, "Superman" could go into production in late 2004.

No "Superman" story is complete without casting rumors: Variety says current Man of Steel candidates include Jason Behr ("Roswell"), Henry Cavill ("The Count of Monte Cristo") and Jared Padalecki ("New York Minute").
