The Wayans Meet The Munsters

The Hollywood Reporter says Keenen Ivory Wayans and his brothers Marlon and Shawn will bring 1960s TV staple "The Munsters" to the big screen.

The "White Chicks" trio dreamed up the "Munsters" update while working on "Chicks," so it's possible something decent ("Munsters") will emerge from something not-so-decent ("Chicks").

The Reporter says the update will place the TV show's characters (Herman, Lily, Grandpa, Marilyn and Eddie) in a contemporary setting, a la 1995's "The Brady Bunch Movie."

The Wayanses will write the screenplay and produce the adaptation. Keenan Ivory Wayans may direct, but helming duties have not been solidified. -- Mac Slocum
