New Details on the Clerks Sequel Surface

Kevin Smith's recent post in his View Askew Message Boards offers a few insights into "Clerks 2" (now known as "The Passion of the Clerks"):
  • The only returning characters are Dante, Randal, Jay and Silent Bob.
  • There will be no major stars (i.e. no Affleck).
  • Smith says: "This is the funniest thing I've ever written. It's also really poignant."
  • The "Clerks" sequel was almost filmed three years ago, but it was shelved in favor of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back."
  • The in-development "Clerks" cartoon movie is completely separate from "The Passion of the Clerks."
