Nonetheless, the poster is a milestone for this troubled production. "Fat Albert" was originally set to film in 2002, but creative differences between "Albert" creator Bill Cosby and then-director Forest Whitaker put the brakes on production. The film languished in development hell for a couple years before eventually reforming with a new cast and a new director ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding" helmer Joel Zwick).
