Fat Albert Makes His Poster Debut

ComingSoon.Net has posted the first teaser poster for the upcoming "Fat Albert" movie. The poster isn't much to crow about, unless you're enchanted by former child actor Kenan Thompson wearing a fat suit and a big red sweater.

Nonetheless, the poster is a milestone for this troubled production. "Fat Albert" was originally set to film in 2002, but creative differences between "Albert" creator Bill Cosby and then-director Forest Whitaker put the brakes on production. The film languished in development hell for a couple years before eventually reforming with a new cast and a new director ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding" helmer Joel Zwick).

Barring catastrophe, "Fat Albert" will finally be released on Christmas Day. For more "Fat Albert" news check out our spotlight page. -- Mac Slocum
