Has Superman Finally Been Cast?

Latino Review may have quite a scoop on their hands. The site says "Superman" director Bryan Singer has found his Man of Steel. And that man is ... Brandon Routh?

If this story proves true, Singer will have eschewed many of Hollywood's top male stars in favor of an unknown actor. Singer recently expressed his commitment to casting a newcomer in an interview with Ain't It Cool News.

According to Routh's IMDb listing, the 25-year-old has had small roles on "One Life to Live," "Gilmore Girls," "Will & Grace" and a number of other TV shows. Latino Review says Routh also appeared opposite Laura Prepon ("That '70s Show") in the independent film "Deadly." The film's IMDb entry makes no mention of young Mr. Routh, but hey, omissions happen.

Latino Review says official word of Routh's casting is forthcoming (how and when it will be forthcoming is not known).
