Spielberg Preps Abraham Lincoln Biopic

Variety says Steven Spielberg and his "Schindler's List" star Liam Neeson may team for an Abraham Lincoln film.

According to Variety, Spielberg has been circling the project since 2001, but delays and script rewrites have pushed it to the back burner. The director is aiming to begin production in January 2006.

Spielberg is currently filming "War of the Worlds" with Tom Cruise. Production on "Worlds" will last until late March, giving Spielberg exactly 30 seconds of down-time between projects.
