Stan Lee Plots 'Foreverman' Franchise

The Hollywood Reporter says comic-book legend Stan Lee is developing an original superhero franchise for Paramount Pictures. Dubbed "Foreverman," the main character will be introduced primarily on the big screen with ancillary comic books and merchandise supporting the new venture.

The Reporter says Foreverman's powers and personality quirks haven't been revealed, but he'll certainly have the same weight-of-the-world angst that marks Lee's other characters.

Screenwriter Peter Briggs ("Hellboy") is collaborating with Lee on the script. Additional production details have not been announced. -- Mac Slocum
