Hilary Swank Opts for Biblical Plagues

The Hollywood Reporter says Oscar champ Hilary Swank is circling the lead role in Dark Castle Entertainment's horror flick, "The Reaping."

Unfortunate title aside, the film follows a "myth debunker" (not to be confused with a MythBuster) who visits a small Texas town that's been overrun by a series of unfortunate events. The events appear to be linked to the 10 Biblical plagues, which is a shame since Biblical plagues have a history of killing local tourism.

The Reporter says James Cox ("Wonderland") will direct. A production schedule has not been announced. -- Mac Slocum
