Grudge 2 Gets the Go Ahead

The Hollywood Reporter says "The Grudge 2" is in development. The sequel to last year's surprisingly successful horror flick, "The Grudge," is part of a two-picture deal between Sony and Ghost House Pictures.

"Grudge" star Sarah Michelle Gellar is not yet attached to the sequel, but director Takashi Shimizu will return. "Grudge 2" is slated for a Halloween 2006 release. -- Mac Slocum
