Denzel Washington Does the Time Warp

Variety says Denzel Washington is circling a starring role in "Deja Vu," a time-travel thriller.

If he signs on, Washington would play an FBI agent who can travel back in time (can't all FBI agents do that?). The plot thickens when Washington's character falls in love with a woman who is about to be murdered.

Tony Scott is attached to direct. "Deja Vu" would mark the third collaboration between Scott and Washington; the two previously joined forces on "Crimson Tide" and "Man on Fire." -- Mac Slocum
