The Hollywood Reporter says George Clooney will star in the law thriller "Michael Clayton."
The film follows Michael Clayton (Clooney), a successful lawyer who is about to have four very bad days. For 15 years Clayton has made a career of discretely "fixing" clients' problems. The Reporter doesn't provide additional plot details, but I imagine the story has something to do with Clayton's own unfixable issues. Or maybe he goes on a cruise and gets violently ill. Who knows? Either way, he's in for a rough ride.
Writer Tony Gilroy ("The Bourne Identity," "The Bourne Surpremacy") will make his directorial debut on "Clayton." Filming is slated to begin in January. -- Mac Slocum
