Da Vinci Code Teaser Trailer Released

Columbia Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for "The Da Vinci Code" (QuickTime required).

The trailer is little more than a title sequence -- a very nice title sequence, but a title sequence nonetheless. Filming hasn't begun, so you won't see any shots of Tom Hanks cracking codes or anything like that. Sorry.

Columbia has also launched a teaser Web site. There isn't much to be found, but the site does show the film's first movie poster. This is mildly relevant (to me, at least) since I doubted the authenticity of the poster when it first appeared. Shows you what I know.

"The Da Vinci" code will premiere May 19, 2006. For more "Da Vinci Code" news visit our "Da Vinci Code" spotlight page. -- Mac Slocum
