Tobey Maguire Keeps His Mouth Shut

Tobey Maguire Tobey Maguire is taking a page from Silent Bob's playbook. The Holllywood Reporter says Maguire is negotiating to star in "Quiet Type," a film that follows a mute man as he pursues his dream of conducting an orchestra in New York City.

"Quiet Type" has a sure-fire Oscar hook: Maguire will not have one word of dialogue. Every emotion and every nuance will be conveyed through Maguire's expressions and actions. They should just give him the statue now.

Production on "Quiet Type" is expected to begin after Maguire finishes "Spider-Man 3." -- Mac Slocum
