Coming Soon! has it that principle photography started today on Will Ferrell's next picture, a NASCAR - comedy. Ferrell reunites on the set with director/writer Adam McKay, his partner in crime for "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy". The duo doesn't seem to be stretching themselves, as the plot of the NASCAR flick seems to revolve around an established star being challenged by an upstart newcomer, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, (that's Ali G to you.) That sounds eerily familiar. Although, ComingSoon.net reports it as untitled, IMDB lists it as "High, Wide, and Handsome".
With the Ferrell and McKay combo driving the film, it's a sure bet that it will get more hype then any other car racing movie since "Days of Thunder." Granted, that's not exactly a huge field to be playing in, but someone had to knock "Freejack" down a few pegs. -- Terrence Ryan
