The Film Industry Returns to Louisiana

Comingsoon.net has a report that filming on "The Reaper" has started back up in Louisiana. The supernatural thriller stars Hilary Swank and is one of if not the first film to participate in production after Katrina. Additionally, other two other projects will move into pre-production with casts including Kevin Cosner, Ashton Kutchner,Ray Liotta and David Arquette.

Last week, there was celebration over the fact that Venom, if not a good production, was at least a Louisiana production. This news about existing projects is encouraging. It's good to see the film industry stick by its previous commitments. Going forward, it still remains to be seen if they will continue to come back to the region but here's to hoping they will. --Terrence Ryan
