More Work For Whedon has it from Variety that Universal Pictures has picked up a script by the name of "Goner" written By Joss Whedon. Whedon will direct the film as well. It's unclear when production will start on the flick, as Whedon is currently working on the screenplay for "Wonder Woman," which he will also be directing. There is not much information about the plot, save that it is about: " a young woman's journey that involves a great deal of horror and some heroics."

Young women, horror, and heroics? Whedon seems to be going back to a familiar milieu. In any case, it looks like Whedon is backed up with work for some time to come, and that always means good things are coming for his audience. -- Terrence Ryan
