Luna Lovegood Casting begins

Luna Lovegood has it that casting calls have started for the role of Luna Lovegood in the next Harry Potter film. They grabbed it from the BBC, who have more information.

The casting team is going around to various British Schools and holding auditions. They're not "open auditions," meaning that anyone can show up, but they don't explain how you get to audition. Also if you are interested you can send in your information. Maybe that will summon them to your school. Who knows? In any case, only residents of the UK are eligible, so you can't pull a Gwyneth Paltrow and land the role.

Lovegood is introduced in the next Potter book to become a movie, "Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix." She is one of the schools outsiders, who doesn't really fit in with any of the school's cliques. However because of her lack of social filters she is often bluntly honest and revealing. It was entirely possible from a plot perspective to cut her out of the movie. However I for one am very happy that they're making the room. --Terrence Ryan
