Production to Start on "Rocky VI"

Sylvester Stallone Digital Theatre has a entry via ComingSoon.net that states that production will begun in December on "Rocky VI." Sylvester Stallone is slated to direct the script he wrote for it, as well as reprise his role as the titular character. Digital Theatre also links back to a previous article which discussed the legal trouble Stallone faced in making this film. Basically MGM, who owns the rights to the Rocky character was resisting the project, going so far to say there would be no "Rocky VI" in the forseeable future. There is no word on what ensued between these two points to allow "Rocky VI" to move to production.

Expectations should be pretty low for the 6th film in a declining series. However, being both from and based in Philadelphia, I am required by local ordinance to be excited about this film. --Terrence Ryan
