Harry Potter Role Umbridge Cast

Imelda Staunton Both Digital Theatre and Aintitcool have it that the role of Delores Umbridge has been cast for the fifth installment of the Harry Potter series named, "Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix." The part goes to Imelda Staunton ("Shakespeare in Love," "Vera Drake.") Umbridge, as readers of the books know, is the new Defense Against Dark Arts teacher for the fifth year. She is also the main antagonist in the story, and one of the most disliked characters in the Harry Potter world. Not that she's badly written , just that she's a truly evil character. --Terrence Ryan

I think it would be fun to see Staunton play Vera Drake playing Dolores Umbridge. It would easily be the most maudlin "Harry Potter" film to date!

You think the religious right hates Harry Potter now, that would drive them absolutely apoplectic.
