Gamasutra has a small blurb about another video game becoming a movie. IMDB confirms that "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale" is being made. Dungeon Siege is a fantasy role playing game made by Microsoft. The Gamasutra article reports that it's being broken into two sections, in the same way "Kill Bill" parts 1 and 2 were.
It turns out that there are some names in this film, including: Jason Statham ("Transporter 2,") John Rhys-Davies ("Lord of the Rings,") Ray Liotta ("Narc,") Matthew Lillard ("Scooby Doo,") Burt Reynolds ("The Longest Yard,") Ron Perlman ("Hellboy,") Claire Forlani ("Hooligans,") and Kristanna Loken ("Terminator 3.") Granted there's no huge name, but that's a good thing, that brings down the cost of what will most likely be a effects laden flick. However that may not be enough to make this movie another "Lord of the Rings," hopefully it will prevent it from becoming another "Dungeons and Dragons." --Terrence Ryan
