Chicken Little Squawks By

IMDB has a nugget about the short term prognosis of Chicken Little. They did it with a lot of help from

  • It was number one at the box office this past weekend, that's good.
  • It didn't do as well, opening weekend, as any of the Pixar films, thats's bad.
  • It beat out the opening weekend of all of the most recent hand drawn Disney movies, that's good.
  • When you factor in number of screens, Chicken little did worse than a bunch of those, that's bad.

It seems like "Chicken Little" did well enough that Disney might still do some chest thumping in their deal to reacquire Pixar's production rights. However, it should be clear to everyone involved, that Pixar puts the soul into these movies, and without them, Disney is just creating lack luster, but slightly profitable films. -- Terrence Ryan
