Bend It Like Beckham - Sequel

Cinematical has a entry on a possible sequel to "Bend it Like Beckham." The writer/director of the original Gurinder Chadha, is looking to continue on with the characters who are based on her own life. This means that it will probably not be about soccer.

Getting together the original cast today might be hard, as Keira Knightly has become increasing sought after/expensive. Meanwhile Parminder Nagra has a steady gig on ER, which might be hard to shoot around. Hopefully everyone will come back around. Part of what made Beckham so great was its distinctive voice. For me, it was like the real girls that I grew up with, not tomboys, but not wilting flowers, we finally making it to a silver screen. Hopefully, they'll get back up there soon. --Terrence Ryan

I think they should make a sequel because the first was funny and it was really good. If they do i hope they bring back all the characters from the first film because they were really good.
