Smith Considers Dogma 2

Kevin Smith Empire: Movie News has it that Kevin Smith is tossing around the idea of doing a follow up to Dogma. According to Smith the follow up would have to focus on religion as a whole and especially touch on Islam. He noted that he's a little apprehensive about doing so, as critics and mockers of Islamic culture tend to attract fatwas. He goes on to explain that he would need more money, as the third act would be Armageddon.

He also mentions that he would be including the character of the last descendent of Christ. He hopes to cast Alanis Morissette in the role, despite her role as God in the last film. That may because of reported difficulties between Smith and the Linda Fiorentino, who played the character that time.

Am I the only one that thinks is ironic that the actresses that played God was less a prima donna than Fiorentino. --Terrence Ryan
